Careers at SCI - blue sky projects

Careers

The diversity of roles and careers at SCI is broad.  Projects will typically run for 3 to 24 months depending on their complexity and specifications. Early in the design process our office team have most involvement, with Quantity Surveyors in our Estimating team bringing their expertise to the project. Stringent Document Control is also key at this stage, with anywhere from 200 to 5000 documents being received per submission. We work closely with our Clients at prelim stage, ensuring we are all working from the most current specifications, and that our design will meet their needs. Our Contracts Manager liaises with the Client and our Estimating team to fully discuss and ratify all terms of a Letter Of Intent (LOI) or Contract issued by the Client. Working on multiple BMS/BEMS projects (what’s the difference?) within the M25 and London, are our on-site teams of Electricians, Electrical Labourers, and Commissioning Engineers. Site teams work together under a Project Engineer, using excellent quality tools, PPE, access equipment and just-in-time stock procurement. We use the highest quality products in our projects, in line with our client’s requirements.

SCI place a strong emphasis on employee investment ensuring that our people have a clearly defined progressive career path, whether on site, or based in our Sandwich offices. In addition to the requisite H&S and Electrical Safety training, staff are actively encouraged to pursue CPD. We are also supporting two Modern Apprenticeship candidates while they train to become Electricians and BMS Installation Engineers. Our commitment in this area provides a focused and dedicated workforce which is fully qualified for product delivery to our customers.

If you are looking for a new challenge in the field of BMS, we’d love to know if you want to join us. Careers at SCI are rewarding and interesting.

Please note: You must live in and be eligible to work in the UK to apply for a role at SCI. We do not accept applications from non-UK residents
